블록체인 기반의 영상저작물 저작권 보호 및 유통 모델 가이드라인 연구 – A Study on the Guideline of Blockchain-Based Video Copyright Protection and Distribution Model

본 연구는 국내시장의 OTT 서비스의 저작권 체계를 분석, 블록체인 기반의 영상저작물 저작권 보호 및 유통 모델과 전반적 가이드라인을 제안하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 영상저작물의 성격과 종류, 저작권 보호 기술, 블록체인 기술을 활용한 저작물 플랫폼 등에 대하여 이론적으로 고찰한 후, OTT 서비스의 저작권 체계를 6개 항목으로 구분하여 저작권 지급 방식, 영상저작물의 성격과 종류의 고려 여부, 방송의 송신 형태 및 저작권 징수 형태, 특징 등에 대하여 분석하였다. 이를 통해 국내시장의 OTT 서비스의 저작권 체계 유형을 제휴 및 판권 계약 유형과 수익 분배 유형으로 분류, 각 유형에 대한 블록체인 기술과 포렌식 워터마킹 기술을 활용한 저작권 보호 및 유통 모델과 전반적 가이드라인을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 경제적, 학문적, 문화적으로 기대효과를 가지며, 향후 영상저작물의 수요와 공급이 증가할 것으로 예측됨에 따라 영상저작권의 저작권 체계 관련 연구에 참고자료로써 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study aims to analyze the copyright system of OTT services in the domestic market and propose blockchain-based video copyright protection and distribution models and overall guidelines. To this end, the characteristics and types of video works, copyright protection technology, and the production platform using blockchain technology were considered theoretically. Later, the copyright system of OTT service was divided into six categories to analyze the copyright payment method, whether to consider the nature and type of video works, the transmission form of broadcasting, the copyright collection form of broadcasting, and the characteristics of OTT services. Through this, the copyright system type of OTT service in the domestic market was classified into affiliated and copyright contract type and revenue distribution type, and the copyright protection and distribution model and overall guidelines using blockchain and forensics watermarking technology for each type were presented. This study has an economic, academic, and cultural expected effect and can be used as a reference for research on copyright systems for video copyright as the demand and supply of video copyrights are expected to increase in the future.
